Hi, I’m Gary Loveless. Thank you for visiting my website!
This website is where you’ll find much of my photographic work that I’ve been compiling for 20+ years. My work, skills and equipment have evolved a lot over the years. My first draw to photography started at an early age but I never fully explored it much until around the year 2000. I was building some websites that needed images and once started, the passion for this art engulfed me. I’m also a musician of sorts and it has been a challenge pursing both of these activities at the same time. In 2007, I moved to Cannon Beach, Oregon as it was a gold mine full of opportunities to find incredibly beautiful scenery. I will forever love the ocean and the raw beauty that is found there.
In 2014, I relocated back to Washington State, where I grew up and spent the majority of my adult life. I now reside in Southwest Washington and enjoy close access to Mount Rainier, the Washington coast and Puget Sound areas.
When my interest in photography sprouted around 2000, I purchased my first digital camera, a small but advanced Nikon model. I quickly realized though that I needed better equipment to get the images I wanted. I’ve had various digital SLR Cameras over the years and have recently jumped aboard the mirrorless camera train. I now have a Canon 45 megapixel full framed pro level camera and a nice range of lenses.
I am very thankful for my wife, Sue, who fully supports my photographic endeavors and also participates in my photography with input and ideas and is an excellent adventure companion. She also is an excellent photographer in her own right, having an exceptional photographic eye!
