This is a particularly wonderful vantage point looking over Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach.
Why I was there this particular morning however, was because of the threat of a Tsunami
from the horrible Japan earthquake. There were many people there waiting to see
what the next few hours would bring. We were not impacted by the Tsunami thankfully, though
we could see the surges come far in on what had been a lower tide.
